For October we'll be discussing the future of the US health insurance system.
We were going to talk about genomics (continuing our discussion from September), but for scheduling reasons we're going to be doing that in November instead of October.
So for October I picked a topic that everyone seems to want to talk about these days: our escalating medical costs, and what is likely to happen in the near future and the rest of the Obama term to reform the cost structure of the US health care system. We've had numerous future salons on the medical aspect; this time, we're going to talk about the political and financial aspect.
We're going to be meeting at our old haunting ground, Boulder Book Store. Go up the stairs, wind all the way around to the big table in the back.
